Terms of Service

Short version: be at least 18, keep your account to yourself, treat the person opposite you like a person, and understand that calls cost coins. The full terms follow.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of 1v1Roulette: the website, its matching and 1v1 video chat features, messaging, profiles and posts, clubs, live rooms, purchases and every related service. By using any of it you agree to these terms, to the Privacy Policy and to the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Who can use 1v1Roulette

You must be at least 18 years old, or the minimum age where you live if that is higher, and legally allowed to use a service like this one. An account found to belong to someone younger is closed.

3. Your account

  • An account belongs to one person. Do not share, sell, rent or transfer it, and do not hold one on behalf of someone else.
  • Give accurate information when you sign in, buy coins or fill in a profile. Accounts built on false or stolen details are removed.
  • Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
  • Do not try to get around security checks, rate limits or access controls.
  • If you think someone else has got into your account, tell us straight away through contact.

4. What the service is

1v1Roulette is a one-on-one video chat service with roulette-style matching: you are introduced to one person at a time and decide whether to stay. Around that sit messaging, profiles, posts, clubs and live rooms.

Features change. We may add, adjust, limit or withdraw any of them for legal, safety, operational or product reasons, and we do not promise that a particular feature will stay available or run without interruption.

5. Profiles, photos and posts

Some things you add are visible to other people: your display name, avatar, profile, photos and posts. Public content may be shared, cached or picked up by search engines, and deleting it does not remove copies that already exist elsewhere straight away. Only publish what you have the right to publish and are comfortable being seen.

Calls themselves are never public, and 1v1Roulette does not record them.

6. Conduct

These end an account:

  • Anything involving anyone under 18, in any form. Accounts are removed immediately and the matter is referred to the authorities.
  • Explicit material on camera, in photos or in posts.
  • Recording the other person, or capturing or redistributing any part of a call.
  • Threats, extortion and coercion, including pressuring someone for money, images or contact details.

These get content removed and, if they continue, the account too:

  • Harassment, hate, intimidation, and pushing after somebody has said no.
  • Impersonation, or misrepresenting who you are or who you are connected to.
  • Scams, spam, advertising, recruiting, malicious links, or asking someone to pay you off the platform.
  • Bots, scripts, scraping, reverse engineering, or any other automated or abusive access.
  • Unlawful or infringing content, or content that exposes someone else's personal information.

The Community Guidelines explain these rules in plain language.

7. Matching, messages and calls

Matching works from whoever is available at that moment. We do not promise a particular person, a particular wait, a reply to a message, or a particular call quality. You decide whether to continue a conversation and what to share in it; leaving never needs a reason. If someone behaves badly, use block and report.

8. Coins, VIP, gifts and billing

  • Calls are paid with coins, bought up front and drawn down as you talk. Coins can also be spent on gifts and other paid features; VIP memberships may be offered too. Prices and what each item includes are shown before you buy.
  • There is no single call rate. Each person sets their own price, so one call can cost a different amount per minute than the next.
  • New accounts start with some trial time, but the amount is decided by an anti-abuse system, not offered as a fixed deal. No specific number of free minutes is promised.
  • A notice appears before billing begins, so the change from trial to paid is never silent.
  • Coins, gifts and other digital items have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money unless the law requires it.
  • Coins that have been spent and services already used are not refundable, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong with a purchase, report it and a person will look at it.
  • Payments are handled by payment providers under their own terms. Card numbers are not stored by 1v1Roulette.
  • Fraudulent payments, chargebacks made in bad faith and payment abuse can lead to cancelled orders, removed benefits or a closed account.

9. Other services and links

Sign-in, payments, hosting, analytics and support rely partly on other companies, and some links lead to sites we do not run. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices; we are not responsible for them.

10. Ownership

The 1v1Roulette name, interface, software and design belong to us or our licensors. You keep the rights to content you create, and you give us the permission needed to host, display, review and remove it in order to run the service. Do not copy, scrape or reuse the service itself without permission.

11. Enforcement

We review reported and suspected breaches of these terms. Depending on what happened, we may remove content, warn you, limit features such as matching, messaging or purchases, or close the account. A removal for breaking these terms is permanent: the same person cannot register again. Blocks are permanent too. Records needed to enforce a removal, prevent fraud or settle a dispute are kept even after an account closes. If you think a decision was wrong, say so through contact and a person will look again.

12. Privacy

How information is collected, used, shared and kept is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Nothing here limits rights you have under privacy or consumer law.

13. No guarantees, and limits on liability

The service is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running and safe, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or any particular outcome from using it. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by other users, by third-party services, by someone using sign-in details you did not keep safe, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms can change as the service, the law or our safety controls change. When they do, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and continuing to use the service means the revised terms apply.

Getting in touch

For anything that happened inside a call, the report control is the route that reaches a person, and reports are reviewed by people. Contact lists the other routes.
